World Food Prize Names Robert Dole and George McGovern as 2008 Laureates
Truth About Trade and Technology applauds the choice by the World Food Prize in naming former US Senators Robert Dole and George McGovern as the 2008 World Food Prize Laureates. Both gentlemen had distinguished public careers, and both have shown a commitment beyond politics in their efforts with the McGovern-Dole Program, a global commitment to school-feeding, attendance, and nutrition for millions of children around the world.
The “Nobel Prize for Food and Agriculture” will be presented to Senators Dole and McGovern on October 16 at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines, Iowa.
