I have seen the quote "Today it feels good to be African". I think that when all of us over here stop trying to tell Africans what they need, that is , to stop the "scramble for Africa" , then we can honestly extend a hand to them. 
But I see articles like the above as more of the same mad scramble. It is obvious that there is money to made in Africa by all the corporations that are involved with agriculture. These corporations and their USDA lackeys want to sell fertilizers, farm equipment, pesticides, patented seeds, ... to the Africans. 
They do not want a self-sufficient, self-determining Africa. Africans have all the resources they need to be self-sufficient without the "help" of our agricultural corporations.
