Farmers need to further reduce the supply of grain to get the price up so that adjusted for inflation it is up to it's highs of the 1970's. If this does not happen family farms will continue to cease to exist in the present under the cost of production structure. If prices don't double again soon they will quadruple after the farms move to corporate control. This is not to far away as 60% of farmers under 40 years of age have quit in recent years and taken the next generation off to the over crowded soon to be starving cities. This should be alarming but it isn't if you don't know it. The average farmer is over 60 and lots are farming over 10,000 acres and are over 80. They say they have to keep going cause there is no one to take over. Disaster looming. Do you think?
